About Richard
RGcycleworks was established in 2020 by passionate industrial designer Richard Gamble. After working in corporate brand building roles, he decided to establish his own independent cycling brand; RGcycleworks, repairing, building, and customising bikes.
His passion for cycling started from a young age and has been a core sport for leisure, commuting and touring ever since. After gaining cycling industry qualifications: Cytech Technical 1, Cytech Technical 2, Cytech Technical level 3 Hydraulics and Electronic Gear systems he had built RGcycleworks to provide a bespoke bicycle service centre for discerning clients.
He has extensive experience supporting major cycling events; L2B, London revolution, Lejog (Lands’ End 2 John O Groats) and Dr Bike events for Schools, MET police and councils.
He is highly recommended on Google with clients rating his knowledge, responsiveness, his willingness to share advice and cost effectiveness.
He has recently expanded his services to offer Mobile Repairs, Training, Crash damage assessment, Sponsorship, and Bike box rentals.
We all have to do our part to reduce our carbon foot print. Not only are we passionate about cycling as a green mode of transport we have also made it a core business principle that we will first try and repair a component rather than replace it. During our repair process we commit to manage all waste materials into the correct recycling channels. When a bike is no longer viable to repair we will recover all functional components and give them a second life on another bike or as a piece of CyclArt such as this Wheelistic tree.
